Because access to health services is limited, we want to ensure that children and their families have access to quality medical services. We work with local physicians to provide primary care in each of the urban and rural communities that we serve. Patients receive medications for common pathologies as needed. Treatment for both internal and external parasites, which is a common illness that can have a significant impact on health, is also administered.
Children who have chronic or acute medical conditions are provided with specialized treatment. Treatment and follow-up are determined on a case by case basis, consulting with local health professionals. Treatment may include consultations with specialists, exams, special medications or even surgery.
