Become part of the Rayo de Sol family
We are always looking for ways to grow the Rayo de Sol family, as God leads different people to our ministry. We are, after all, brothers and sisters in Christ. Everyone has different skills and talents to offer and we welcome volunteers and supporters, both in the U.S. and in Nicaragua. Please take a look at the different options for becoming an active member of the Rayo de Sol family.
Go on a Mission Trip
There’s no better way to understand what God is doing here in Matagalpa than to see it with your own eyes. Our mission trips are designed to be impactful for participants, to benefit long-term development efforts, and to promote healthy intercultural relationships. Whether you are a doctor, a teacher, or anything in between, we would love to talk through how your family, church, coworkers, or friends can contribute to the work being done here on the ground.
Host a Dinner Party
Want to make an impact but can’t make it down to Nicaragua? Hosting a Rayo de Sol dinner party is a simple way to do so! We take care of food, logistics, and the flow of the night, and all you have to do is invite some friends over for a fun and uplifting evening.
Fundraise
We’re all more likely to support an organization if a friend that we trust recommends it. Many members of the Rayo de Sol family have leveraged this kind of relational capital to benefit the children and families we serve in Nicaragua through personal fundraisers. We are so grateful for their partnership! There are lots of different ways to help: You can start a GoFundMe, ask for donations for your birthday, organize an informational event in your home, or come up with your own creative way to raise support.
Attend an Event
Throughout the year, we hold a few events to keep the Rayo de Sol family connected and up to date with what God is doing in our community in Nicaragua. Whether it be a silent auction, a day of outdoor fun with the family, or a dinner party in the house of a friend, we’d love to get you more deeply plugged in with the Rayo de Sol family.
