We are living through an unprecedented global crisis. Although the spread of COVID-19 across the world is causing immeasurable suffering, we know that our faith will carry us through.

“God is our refuge and strength,
a very present help in trouble.
Therefore we will not fear though the earth gives way,
though the mountains be moved into the heart of the sea,
though its waters roar and foam,
though the mountains tremble at its swelling.”

Psalm 46:1-3

In the end, there are many things about this crisis that are out of our control, but God’s unconditional love is there to guide us through. There has never been a better time to come together to love and serve one another, just as Jesus loved and served. Although the pandemic is still in the early stages in Nicaragua, we have been taking the following actions to help prevent the spread of the deadly disease to vulnerable populations:

  • Holding educational workshops in all schools and communities, teaching children and parents how to prevent COVID-19
  • Identifying patients in each community that are more susceptible to the disease
  • Holding community clinics in areas where there is no medical attention available, in order to ensure that the most children and adults have access to quality medical attention.
  • Giving staff paid days off when needed to get groceries and attend to personal needs

Due to the tremendous economic impact of COVID-19 worldwide, we’re faced with the reality that charitable giving will most likely decline in 2020 and potentially into 2021. We would be honored if you would consider partnering with us financially so we can continue providing critical services to the children and families of Nicaragua and respond effectively to the current crisis. Thank you!

Although there is still much that we don’t know about this pandemic, there are some things that we do know:

We know that this is a time to place our faith in God’s love.

We know that this is a time to serve those in greatest need.

We know that working together, we will come through this crisis stronger in body, mind and spirit.

In Christ,
