Due to lack of resources, developmental and recreational activities in Nicaraguan public, primary schools is quite limited. We work with the Nicaraguan Ministry of Education to promote a variety of educational enrichment activities in each of the rural and urban schools that we serve.
Our educational enrichment activities include discipleship, tutoring, art classes, sports, environmental education, reading clubs and other activities that contribute to students’ integral growth and development. Our staff coordinates directly with primary school teachers to plan a wealth of activities each month that compliment classroom learning and provide new outlets for children to discover and develop skills and abilities. We strive to make learning participatory and most of all– fun!
Not all children learn in the same way, so the inclusion of educational enrichment activities often stimulates improved learning capacity for many students. As a result, we have observed and documented improved student performance, attendance and retention rates. Children are more excited about learning and eager to participate in new activities.
